What is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath completely immerses, or ‘bathes’ you in sound.
Each person’s experience of a sound bath will be unique and people are often presented with the experience that they need in that moment. Some people fall asleep, some experience visions, some see colour, others have physical sensations.
Sound baths usually last for around an hour. Participants lay on a yoga mat or padded mat for the duration of the sound bath. After settling in with a guided grounding relaxation I will then play the instruments in a way that encourages the conscious mind to let go and the unconscious mind to take over, which is where the deep relaxation occurs and our parasympathetic nervous system is activated, which is responsible for our natural self-healing ability.
Following a sound bath people often report increased feelings of wellbeing, contentment and balance, improved sleep quality, reduction in feelings of stress and anxiety alongside other physical benefits.
What to bring:
Please make sure you wear warm socks, comfortable clothes and bring with you a yoga matt or padded matt, a pillow if you need one and a blanket.
If you are not comfortable lying down you may bring a reclining deck chair or similar to be seated on instead. Please let me know upon booking so I can plan the room layout.

Testimonials
"I meditate daily, I have regular reiki and massages but I had not felt such deep relaxation as I have experiencing Peter Ison's sound bath. I float away feeling renewed. Highly Recommend."
Lucie Petts, Lincolnshire
"A huge thank you to Peter Ison at Tranquil Awakenings for the sound therapy I received yesterday evening. I wasn't sure what to expect but the whole experience was amazing. I felt so relaxed with the sounds washing over me and left feeling positive, energised and with my thoughts clearer. I had the best night sleep and I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend everyone gives it a go at least once - it's incredible."
Jo Tinson, Lincolnshire
